1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Fit Assist AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Fit Assist AI is a fitness tracking and coaching application that allows users to log workouts, track nutrition, compete on leaderboards, join groups, and receive AI-generated fitness coaching. The service is available via web browser and as a progressive web application.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App.
• One person per account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

4. Subscription & Payments

• Fit Assist AI offers two subscription tiers: Basic ($1.99/month) for workout tracking, nutrition logging, leaderboards, and group competitions; and Pro ($4.99/month) which includes all Basic features plus AI Coach, voice workout logging, and AI meal photo analysis.
• Both plans include a 7-day free trial.
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your profile settings.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support for assistance.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false or misleading data to manipulate leaderboards or competitions
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the App

6. AI Coaching Disclaimer

The AI coaching feature provides general fitness guidance and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before starting any exercise program. We are not responsible for any injuries or health issues arising from following AI-generated recommendations.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the fitness data you input into the App. By using the service, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, process, and display your data as needed to provide the service (e.g., leaderboard rankings, group features).

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Profile settings, which will permanently remove your data within 30 days.

9. Limitation of Liability

Fit Assist AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
